Human in the loop (approvals)
Human in the loop means an AI system pauses for a person to review and approve certain actions before they happen. In business software it is used for anything costly or hard to undo, such as payments, payroll, messages to many customers, deleting records or changing who can see what.
Approval is what makes it safe to hand work to agents. The agent does the preparation (finding the records, drafting the messages, calculating the totals) and presents one clear card: what will happen, to whom, and for how much. You approve, edit or decline.
