Acceptable use policy
What Profynix and the Profynix AI may not be used for.
Last updated 22 October 2026 · Effective from 22 October 2026
Profynix does real work for businesses: it sends messages, posts on social media, publishes websites, issues invoices and runs payroll. This policy sets out what you and your team may not use it for. It forms part of our Terms of service and applies to everyone who uses a Profynix account, and to everything the Profynix AI does on your instructions.
1. Breaking the law
Don't use Profynix to:
- do anything illegal, or help anyone else do it, including fraud, scams, money laundering, tax evasion or financing terrorism;
- sell or promote illegal goods or services, or goods and services that need a licence you don't have;
- infringe anyone's copyright, trade marks or other rights, or publish content you don't have permission to use;
- collect, use or share personal data without a lawful basis, or in breach of data protection law such as the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 or the GDPR.
2. Messages, posts and marketing
Profynix can send email, WhatsApp messages and social media posts for you. When it does, you're the sender. Don't use it to:
- send spam: bulk or marketing messages to people who haven't agreed to hear from you or who have asked you to stop;
- send messages without a clear way to opt out where one is required, or keep messaging people who have opted out;
- hide who you are, impersonate another person or business, or mislead people about where a message comes from;
- break the rules of the channel you're using (for example WhatsApp Business, Meta, X, LinkedIn or TikTok policies);
- send harassing, threatening, hateful or abusive messages.
3. Websites and content
Don't publish, or ask the AI to create, content that:
- is false or misleading, including fake reviews, made-up testimonials, false claims about your business or prices you won't honour;
- sexually exploits or endangers children (we report this to the authorities);
- is pornographic, incites violence or hatred, or promotes self-harm;
- is malware, phishing or a page designed to trick people into giving away passwords or payment details.
4. Money and people's records
- Only issue invoices, payment links and payslips for real goods, services and work.
- Only add staff, customers and suppliers whose data you're allowed to hold, and keep salaries, bank details and tax numbers accurate.
- Don't use payment features to move money for anyone other than your own business, or to accept payments for prohibited activities listed by our payment providers.
5. Security and fair use
Don't:
- try to get into another company's data, another person's account or parts of Profynix you haven't been given access to;
- probe, scan or test the security of Profynix without our written permission (please report security issues to support@profynix.com instead; we take every report seriously);
- get around usage limits, AI credit limits, approvals or access codes, or share an account to avoid paying for seats;
- overload the Service, send automated traffic that harms it, or try to copy, resell or reverse engineer it;
- try to make the Profynix AI ignore its rules or your company's approval settings, or use it to produce harmful content.
6. What happens if this policy is broken
If we believe this policy has been broken, we may remove content, stop messages or a website, limit features, suspend the account or close it, depending on how serious it is. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. We may report illegal activity to the authorities and cooperate with them.
7. Reporting misuse
If you see Profynix being used in a way that breaks this policy (for example spam or a scam website built with Profynix), tell us at hello@profynix.com.
