# Agentic Business Operating System

**Definition:** An Agentic Business Operating System is business software whose AI agents do the work, not just store it. It runs payments, books, marketing, the website and customer follow-up inside rules the owner sets, and asks for approval before anything sensitive, such as moving money or messaging many customers at once.

Traditional business software is a set of screens you operate. You enter the invoice, you remember the follow-up, you export the report. An agentic system turns that around: you say what you want in plain words, and agents carry out the steps across every part of the business, then report back.

Three things separate an agentic business operating system from an app with a chatbot on top.
